History of Korea Ramyun / Ramen

Do you like Ramyun?
If yes, what kind of Ramyun?
It is sure the origin of Ramyun is from Japan but growth of Ramyun is from Korea.


Koran can't live apart from ramyun. we can konw that from data of Ramyun consumption.
Ramyun consumption in Korea is 3.3bilion in a year.
averagely,every Korean consume 80~90 Ramyuns in a year!
Maybe, the reason why Korean like it is that ramyun is easy to cook and eat.



In 1963, Samyang food company first launched instant noodle "samyang Ramyun" in Korea.
At the first, people didn't give attention to ramyun. Yet, because of shortage of foodstuffs, instant noodle became second next foodstuffs.

It brought  that other companies rush into ramyun industry.
The 1980's are gloden age of ramyun in Korea.
Many ramyun products were come out at that time.
Especially, Nongshim sinramyun made a hit in ramyun industry and
became one of best ramyun in korea :) 
 Since 1990's, sinramyun is exported to many other countries
and loved by domestic and foreign country

Most of Korea ramyun is hot and spicy and its color is red.
but ramyun companies try to develop their products,
some of ramyun is not so spicy and its color is white.

so many, right? even now, new ramyuns are developed and launched
and some are survivor, some are....I could not see no more...hahaha
if I have a time, I will post those ramyun prouct one by one! hahaha...
